I was strolling earlier here at SM Calamba Cyberzone with different consumer related kiosks and stalls. Meizu’s kiosk piqued my attention in particular. Their poster included of the unofficial Meizu Note 9.
According to the sales clerk, the said device has not yet arrived on our shores yet. Though she indicated that the possible scheduled launch is at December of this year, which is next month.
Just a refresher, the device is a polycarbonate-glass sandwich design which a unique finish underneath the glass which shimmers ad light pass through it. The front mainly occupies a 6.22-inch IPS LCD display with w Full HD+ resolution, the display has a waterdrop notch which houses the selfie shooter. The handset is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 11nm octa core processor which is paired with either 4 or 6GB RAM and ample amount of storage at 64 or 128GB. The device boots FlymeOS 7.2 which is a skin of Android based on their ninth version, Pie.
As for camera capabilities, the poster has also brag their main shooter for this device. A 48MP shooter on the rear. This is the Samsung GM1 sensor which was used in an array of different budget devices. The sensor is accompanied by a 5MP shooter for depth sensing. The selfie camera is housed on the notch which is a 20MP sensor.
The battery is 4000mAh and charges via their special charging technology, mCharge, rated at 18W.
Unfortunately, the sales clerk has not disclosed the price of the device. Just for reference, the device’s base variant is priced in China at launch for 1398Yuan or Php 10,104 directly converted and without taxes and duties yet. What do you think of the device?
